A night to remember—APP Sports Awards 2017
The annual Asbury Park Press Sports Awards were held at the Count Basie Theater in June, and paid tribute to more than 150 student-athletes. The ESPYs-styled program received high marks and great reviews, and was attended by nearly 1,000 athletes and their parents. Keynote speaker and New Jersey native Dick Vitale encouraged the athletes to work hard at their sport, but stressed that a good education was ultimate foundation for success.

The 2016 presidential election results struck an historic and collective nerve nationwide. I was asked to moderate a panel discussion at nearby Monmouth University, home to a national polling institute, to deconstruct the election.
